Accurate Freight Dimensions for LTL Shippers
ThE Cubiscan 1200
Eliminate chargebacks and carrier reclass fees. Collect pallet master data for warehouse slotting improvements.
LTL Shipper Challenges
Weight and Inspection Reclasses
Your LTL shipments are being reclassed at an alarming rate and it’s killing your profitability. Carrier corrections can range from hundreds to thousands of dollars for a single shipment.
Storing Large Products and Pallets
Manually dimensioning large, non-conveyable items for put away and slotting is inaccurate and difficult. Manual measurement and hand-keyed data entry opens your WMS up to a world of mistakes and bad item data.
Documentation for Freight Disputes
Dealing with a reclass, damage, or shortage claim? Sorry, you don’t have any way to prove your product was whole and accurately classified when it left your warehouse.
For AGV handling and ASRS applications, you need high-quality, reliable data on every pallet you measure.
The Cubiscan 1200 Can Help
Same Technology as the Carriers
Accurate dimensional data from the Cubiscan 1200 means your freight quote and invoice will actually match. No more invoice discrepancies. You’re using the same equipment the carriers use to inspect your freight.
Accurate Master Data
at Receipt of Goods
The Cubiscan 1200 helps complete your item master data by providing accurate dims on inbound pallets. Combine that with smaller product dims and you have all the product data you need for efficient put away and slotting.
Digital Footprint for Disputes
When reclasses, damage, and shortage claims do come up, you have digital data and photos to refute those claims. Time-stamped pallet photos and documented volumetric data is a hard combo to beat when fighting disputes.

Measurement Capacity
Scan oversized and odd-shaped freight
The Cubiscan 1200 comes in standard lengths of 8′, 11′, and 13′. If you ship, store, or handle freight larger than a standard 48″x40″ pallet, this dimensioner has you covered. It excels at measuring large, non-conveyable freight like furniture, generators, kayaks, etc.
Unmatched Accuracy–LiDAR Technology
National and regional carriers trust LiDAR to inspect your freight. If you’re looking at a dimensioner to eliminate carrier reclasses, it’d be wise to invest in the same equipment the carriers use. LiDAR sensors are more consistently accurate, and struggle with fewer ambient conditions than other technologies.
Mounting options
The Cubiscan 1200 can be installed to work within your current workflow. It can be mounted in the ceiling (most common), on a mobile base, or over existing conveyor to capture dimensions in-motion.

Data Integration Options
Qbit Cloud
All measurement data is stored in a cloud database you can access anytime, anywhere. That data can be pulled via rest API as often as you’d like to integrate with your WMS, OMS, ERP, etc.
Web Services
Qbit web services is installed on the internal Cubiscan computer and receives measurement data from the Cubiscan. That data is sent to an http server that can be accessed by the user’s software applications.
Typical Workflow
The Cubiscan 1200 can be used to dimension and inspect freight in receiving and shipping applications. Typical operation goes as follows…
Step 1
Enter The Measurement Area
Drive under the Cubiscan 1200 and set the freight down. Back the forklift out of the measurement area.
Step 2
Scan The PRO Number
Scan the PRO number, barcode, or unique identifier to start the measurement. The dimensions will tie back to the scanned barcode with the weight and product images if applicable.
Step 3
Data Collected & Transferred
Once the measurement is complete, dims, weight, and photos associated to the barcode number are stored and/or transferred to your WMS, ERP, or TMS.
Step 4
Use The Data to Drive Results
The data can then be used to help determine proper shipping class, improve slotting decisions, and combat chargebacks.
