Electrical Engineer II

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer with a strong focus on firmware development to join our dynamic engineering team.
Job Summary:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing embedded systems and firmware solutions for a variety of electrical products and applications. Your expertise will be integral in ensuring that our hardware systems perform efficiently, reliably, and securely. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate firmware with electrical hardware, troubleshoot complex issues, and support the development of next-generation technology. This position requires a deep understanding of embedded systems, microcontroller programming, and hardware/software integration. You will work at the intersection of electrical engineering and software development. This position will prepare technical documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with product development, product testing, and product support by developing and supporting embedded firmware.
- Product regulatory compliance (i.e. UL, FCC, CE, etc.).
- Engineering support and training for sales and marketing, including international resellers.
- Document product/project modifications.
Ensure quality and functionality requirements are met. - Complete assignments in a timely manner.
- Other duties and tasks as needed.
Education and Experience:
- BS in Electrical Engineering or similar with some design experience.
- 5-10 years of Electrical Engineer experience.
- Has a firm knowledge of Electrical and Embedded Firmware Concepts.
- Exceptional technical and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Functional skills using IAR Embedded Workbench to program microcontrollers.
- Experience with Free RTOS kernels for microcontrollers.
- Embedded C programming
- Familiar with NXP Processors
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others
