Quality Control Technician
Farmington, UT | Full-Time | $22-25/hr
We are looking for an observant and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to join our team and our thriving workplace culture.
Job Summary:
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality standards by inspecting, testing, and reporting on raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods. The technician works closely with production and engineering teams to identify defects, implement corrective actions, and maintain compliance with internal and external specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections of incoming materials, in-process components, and finished products.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines).
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records according to company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and report any deviations or non-conformances to appropriate personnel.
- Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Conduct sample testing according to established quality control plans.
- Assist in annual VCAP audit sampling for LFT certifications.
- Execute influence factor VCAP testing for each of the LFT certified products.
- Ensure compliance with Company standards and other applicable quality systems.
- Calibrate inspection and testing equipment as required.
- Participate in audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Other duties and tasks assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a quality control or inspection role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of quality systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Familiarity with measurement tools and mechanical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Manual dexterity and visual acuity for inspection tasks.
