QUALITY INSPECTIONS FOR GO/NO-GO DECISION MAKING
Use weight, measurement, and structural data to improve quality control processes.
The Benefits of Inspection and Verification
Operational Safety
Damaged and poorly constructed pallets put your product, property, and people at risk. Know what’s safe to handle and reject and rework what isn’t.
Customer Experience
The hardest part of business is getting and keeping customers. Shipping them damaged or incorrect items is a surefire way to lose their business. If you’re a 3PL fulfilling orders for your clients, shipping incorrect or damaged product will put you out of business.
Cost of Returns
Shipping damaged and incorrect product hurts you in more ways than one. You lose customers, you pay for their returns, and you pay to replace damaged product from your own pocket.
Inspection Capabilities
Pallet Inspection
Pallet inspections are usually done to assist in storage and retrieval applications. Transporting, stacking, and handling pallets that are damaged or poorly constructed is a safety hazard for both employees and the product being handled. We offer a few products that can perform different aspects of pallet and load inspection.
The Cubiscan Contour Pro measures palletized freight providing dimensions as well as payload insights like overhang and % lean. It also performs a top layer inspection and can reject the load if it is missing a carton or an entire layer of product.
Package Inspection
Parcel inspections are beneficial in both receiving and shipping applications. On the receiving side, the Cubiscan 210-L can inspect cartons for damage and open flaps. It can also perform empty tote inspections, ensuring that totes are open for put away. The CS 210-L can also be used to perform void fill calculations and it can detect open flaps before print and apply labeling.
Weight Inspection
We also offer checkweigh solutions to help verify order accuracy. Use the Freightweigh 150 to program upper and lower weight limits when running batch orders. If a package falls outside the weight tolerance, divert it to a reject lane to be reworked.
Label Inspection
Label verification is another important inspection process to increase order accuracy. With induct and verification scans we can validate that the right shipping label got on the right box, keeping customers happy and reducing the rate of your returns.
